Rain Fall, Drought and Pixie Spring Water

Rain Fall, Drought and Pixie Spring Water

Hello Pixie lovers,

Hooray for some moisture and the sound of heavy rainfall which awakened us at early dawn. It's been quite dry around here and the threat of forest fires gives us the heebie jeebies; so we do rain dances, asking and praying for rain here at Pixie Spring Water.

With drier than usual times in the valley, nation and world at large, we're especially aware of the water flow and how rain levels affect the spring flow. We thought you'd be curious as well as you watch the water pour or drip from the pipes at the street.

Here's the scoop:

You are not drinking rain water.

However, the amount of precipitation plays a critical role in the health of the volume of water flow ejected to the Earth's surface from the depths of the reservoirs below.

Below the limestone rocks and beneath the sediment are underground pools called aquifers. At Pixie Spring Water we are blessed with an abundance of ancient storage aquifers beneath the visible ground and we await the rain with reverence. Though the rain water isn't directly correlated with the amount of water we see coming out of the pipe that flows to the street, it is imperative to the invisible health & wellbeing of the water source.

If interested, take a look at the USGS website on Water Flow.

The more water that falls from the sky down into the Earth's soil and crevices, the more that will refresh and recharge the underground reservoirs. We hope this helps you understand how crucial a natural source of rain water is to filling our jugs.

Join us in giving thanks for the rainfall today in the Valley of the Mist.
