PAINTING WITH PIXIE

Nothing beats sitting outside listening to the sounds of nature while painting.
The scurrying feet of a chipmunk, distant drilling of a woodpecker's peck, the wind rustling the leaves. If the weather isn't conducive, we don't mind a fireside paint. Those sounds soothe our souls as well.
It's the connection with the elements --- the air, water, fire, earth -- which brings us together and makes us whole. We make art as individuals yet are never alone and always in the comfort of being among so much life.
Paint with Pixie. As your pictures and words come from your heart to your hand, manifest a magical reality. Today I am grateful for the rain since we have been experiencing a prolonged drought which has devastated thousands of acres of forest in New York. I think, feel and thus write words of LOVE and gratitude.
Our valley has been spared with a direct threat, but we are keenly aware that a stray ash from any type of fire ember is a great danger. So we heed the burn ban warnings and are working as swiftly as possible to make our water more available to all.
Today, I think of the Italian artist Elsa Paretti, being celebrated fifty years with Tiffany. As I paint this heart, I think and write words of LOVE. This rock is shaped very much like Elsa's heart which also provoked me to write my poem titled Tiffany Heart.
