Dandelion Tea Energized with Pixie Love
Share
Bright bursts of sunshine spreading their rays through driveways and yards, blossoming now and all summer long! The Dandelion, what suburban homeowners have demonized as nasty weeds, can be used as to heal with the simple making of a warm beverage. Before the need to look green and clean, indigenous people used the Dandelion plant as part of their herbal medicine to help with liver health and to reduce inflammation.
Sometimes you need a friend to actually get you to do something (harkening back to the days of cooking with friends) and so when sweet Sara came to visit we spent some time foraging, seeping and sipping Dandelion tea. It was so much fun but since time was an issue we did a quick steep with flowers and stems.
To energize our tea we used Pixie Spring Water of course, which contains micronutrients that actually super charge the effects of the Dandelion flower on your health. The best part of the process was making it with Sara. Truthfully, I found the taste a bit bitter in the tea but liked the greens we had chopped up into the salad. Sara thought the tea tasted delicious. next time maybe a roasting of the stems first and maybe even a bit more honey for Pixie Momma!
Thank you for reading and if you google Dandelion tea it's everywhere. Choose your tincture!
Love & Peace.
